Most companies are aware of the advantages of non-geographic numbers. These numbers usually begin with 08 and allow the caller to phone you for a fixed rate, such as freephone, local rate or national rate calls. Businesses with freephone or localrate numbers usually attract more enquiries from potential customers than those without.

0800 freephone

These numbers allow the caller to call you for free. Calls are redirected to your landline number and charged to the holder of the 0800 number. onecomms can supply 0800 numbers with no setup fee and just a small monthly rental.

03 Number Range

These numbers are treated like 01 or 02 numbers, and charged accordingly. 030 numbers are used for charities and voluntary organisations. 033 numbers can be supplied to anyone. As these numbers are charged at the providers standard rate, you may be liable for part of the cost of the call - i.e. you pay the difference between what the caller pays and the actual cost of that call.

0845 local rate

Local rate numbers allow the caller to phone you as if the call was made to a local destination. The caller pays for the call, but at a much lower rate. The holder of the 0845 number is not charged at all. onecomms can supply 0845 numbers with no setup fee and a small monthly rental.

0844 local rate

These local rate numbers act in the same way as 0845 numbers. However, the rates are fixed for all times of the day.

0870 national rate

Due to an Ofcom ruling, these numbers are no longer allowed to generate revenue for the supplier or the holder of the number. Calls are charged at a national rate and are redirected to a UK landline. onecomms can supply these numbers for a small setup fee, with no monthly charges. Please also note that some calls to this number may be charged back to you.

0871 national rate

These numbers act in the same way as 0870 numbers. However, the rates are fixed for all times of the day.
